Inauguration of YMCA International Guest House
The inauguration ofYMCA International Guest House was held on 9th
June 2007. Rev. Samuel D. Stephen, Deputy President, World
Alliance ofYMCAs, inaugurated the International Guest House. Mr.
J. Alexander IAS (Rtd.), President, National Council of YMCAs of
India, was the Guest of Honour. Mr. George Oommen, Vice president,
YMCA Kollam, welcomed the gathering. Mr. K. George Philip,
President, YMCA Kollam presided over the function. Prof. Bobin T.
Tharian, Chairman, Construction Committee, gave a brief report on
the project. The room sponsors were given Mementos and YMCA
International Privilege Card during the function. Mr. J. Alexander
IAS, President, National Council, YMCAs of India, unveiled the
statue of Sir George Williams, founder of YMCA movement, which was
carved by Prof. Antony Ben, during the inaugural function. A good
number of people attended the programme. Mr. N.V. Etdo, General
Secretary, proposed a vote of thanks.
